Well I’ve noticed a difference Yeah I’ve noticed you shifting Drifting away out to see Where your life leads when You’re not around me   But I don't blame you No I don't blame you   Every now & then I feel your judgment Beating down upon me heavy Every now & again I think you might be right I think you might be   Cause I’ve noticed a difference I’ve noticed you shifting Drifting out to see Where your life leads when You’re not around me   But I don't blame you No I don't blame you   Every now & then I feel your judgment Beating down upon me heavy Every now & again I think you might be right I think you might be   Whoa (x6)

Crying is cool Whenever you want to I could cry with you You could be alone or I could be there too Crying is cool, Crying is cool   Crying is cool Whenever you need to I’ll be there for you I could keep you armed With chocolate and tissue Crying is cool, Crying is cool   No one ever tells us it’s okay But it’s okay Yeah you are safe Please don't tell yourself that It’s not right If it feels right I’ll hold you tight Into the night   Feeling is fine You don't need to be tough All of the time We could hit Netflix & a box of wine Feeling is fine, Feeling is fine   No one ever tells us it’s okay But it’s okay Yeah you are safe Please don't tell yourself that It’s not right If it feels right I’ll hold you tight Into the night

With you Tripping up the strip Blue Moon loose within in our grip I try but I don't think I’ll ever get it   Places we’ve never been before Burning for us like open sores I never wanted to be But now I’m yours   Tripping, tripping, tripping, tripping up   Salt in the air (Salt of the earth) Chicken or egg? (Which one came first?) Glad to see you (Smiling there now) Won’t trouble myself with how   Places we’ve never been before Burning for us like open sores I never wanted to be But now I’m yours   Salt in the air (Salt of the earth) Chicken or egg? (Which one came first?) Glad to see you (Smiling there now) Won’t trouble myself with how

Before I left for tour You said you wanted more And I took that as a good sign I’d rather walk all winter in bare feet Than still be guilt tripping in your front seat Passenger side Taking all the heat Is not what I agreed on, no But I dare you to notice when I’m gone so   Stay down Shut my mouth It’s not up for debate cause If I get angry It’s me you’re gonna hate   Hey, what are friends for? Baby, what are friends for If not to treat like shit or completely ignore? What are friends for? What are friends for? What are they for?   I saw you in the city On that night Yeah you’re always looking at me Like you wanna fight I bite back now So tell me how It’s all my fault again And when you call me up, no I I can’t pretend   Stay down Shut my mouth It’s not up for debate cause If I get angry You wanna mediate   Hey, what are friends for? Baby, what are friends for If not to treat like shit or completely ignore? What are friends for? What are friends for?

Scattered 04:14
I never built that dollhouse with you A monument of care And I didn't say bye to your body Because your soul wasn't there Grasping the hands of my oldest friend Just not, in the same, the same sense   Figure it’ll Take years to not Feel it so hard Seaside ashes scattered In someone else’s backyard   Rushing home from southern states Living rooms, bad news awaits Everybody knows what I don't I’m sorry what did you say? I don't think I Don't think I Don't think that I heard you right I’m sorry what did you say?   Now it’s fall Colors begin to change Winter in your eyes as you start to fade Fade away I’m sorry what did you I’m sorry what did you say?   Figure it’ll Take years to not Feel it so hard Seaside ashes scattered In someone else’s backyard

The Brink 03:21
I wish that you would tell me everything will be just fine Cause I can’t ever really tell what’s really on your mind He left then she left then they left too Now I don't know what the fuck I’m supposed to do But I know that it’s not all me and I know it’s not just you Please will you just tell me what the fuck I’m Supposed to do   Please say exactly what you think Yeah I know we’re about to sink And we’re standing (You can tell me) Standing on the brink   I wish that I could tell you everything will be okay But why are you so mad at me like every other day? How can I make it right if you don't tell me what is wrong? If we don't communicate we’ll never get along   I remember sitting on your porch for the first time Do you remember when we first hung out to dry? I don't wanna pretend like nothings changed It has and will again I don't wanna feel like I can’t talk to you Just tell me when     Please say exactly what you think Yeah I know we’re about to sink And we’re standing (Standing on the brink) Please say exactly what you think (You can tell me when I’m wrong) Yeah I know we’re about to sink (We’ve been doing this too long) And we’re standing (You can tell me) Standing on the brink

Of course there was a moment where I Was still looking forward to Just speakin speaking speakin speaking speakin With you A lapse in judgment Oh yeah sure, I concur Not another word   But I know things about you that I can’t unlearn now I know things about you that I can’t unlearn now I know things about you I can’t unlearn now   I know what withholding the truth can do and I I’ve seen what happens if you tell it too Tell it to the mirror Tell it to   If I had seen The creatures past the trees I still would’ve let you bring me to my knees Unintentionally But that was then   I know things about you that I can’t unlearn now I know things about you that I can’t unlearn now I know things about you I can’t unlearn now   I know what withholding the truth can do and I I’ve seen what happens if you tell it too Tell it to the mirror Tell it to
8.
Where did your mind go, Slice? You've been floating around in your brain for too long Come spend some time like How we used to when we would stay up till dawn   Stay up with me Won’t you stay up with me Won’t you stay up tonight? Cause if you stay up with me I could make you see I could make you feel alright   But you are fine When you are mine

Gunmetal baby Misspent so soon Hollow torrent, so angry You’ll probably never bloom Think about the things You say you’d like to see The revisions shown in me Not your sitter Not your baby   Trick, baby, cheat Oh you know how to talk sweet I hope your heart hurts dirty   Mama’s not so proud Daddy’s just like you Fingers on his touchscreen trigger Honeybun, you’ve got nothing to lose Treat your pearls like shit You’ve always been entitled to it Run your morgue mouth quick Parseltongue & electric tips   Leech Double down Please You’ve got nothing to lose You’ve got nothing   Trick, baby, cheat Oh you know how to talk sweet I hope your heart hurts dirty Chloroform & wine Oh mixing ain’t a crime I’d love to watch your heart flatline

Why does it feel like I’ll Never get it right All at the same time The articles pinned to my wall Convince me I’ve got it all Friendships rise and fall All the time But at the end of the day I can’t say that I’m okay Problems that remain Are still mine   I’m too big of a nihilist For a world like this, I know When I look at my life ahead Well I don't see why I’d go I’m too big of a narcissist To go out like this, it shows I’ve always been a coward but That's just something everybody already knows   Wish I was free Not locked in a cage Wasted nights and days The feathers pinned into my side Make it hard to unsubscribe To things I never wanted for my life If you would peel back all my skin Deciphering my intention I think that I could really let you in   I’m too big of a nihilist For a world like this, I know When I look at my life ahead Well I don't see why I’d go I’m too big of a narcissist To go out like this, it shows I’ve always been a coward but That's just something everybody already knows   I’m too big of a nihilist When I look ay my life ahead I’m too big of a narcissist

about

***UK/Europe distro through Big Scary Monsters***
***AUZ/NZ through Dew Process***

The Sonder Bombs have doubled down on their second record. 2018’s debut MODERN FEMALE ROCKSTAR was their first bet: an all-caps attack against a male-dominated scene brandishing a ukulele and dry wit as chosen weapons. A year and some change passed, where the Cleveland band’s relentless touring ethic and tough love caused a homegrown fan base to explode worldwide. Clothbound, like the title suggests, weaves a different narrative—one of loss, letting go, and losing patience with losers. If the first record introduced unapologetic sensitivity, Clothbound searches for the root causes of other key elements.

Produced in Philadelphia during quarantine with Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Beach Bunny, Modern Baseball), Clothbound captures a band burning at both ends. Fans of vocalist/ukulele/guitarist Willow Hawks’ exasperated kiss-offs will have plenty to unpack here, from the frantic goodbyes spat through “Swing on Sight” or “What Are Friends For,” where Hawks entertains this question while the background smolders around the punctuation—a ukulele strum here, Willow Hawks’ vocal line trailing like an asteroid collision there. As this is the second volume in the Sondie songbook, evolved moments, like the acoustic-electric elegy “Scattered,” sit near the band at their most sloganeering and effective. “Crying is Cool,” a live staple eagerly awaiting its reveal, teaches listeners of all ages that it’s okay to hole up with your feelings as long as you give them room to grow. The band’s also not afraid of taking their own advice, letting their emotions run wild on “k.,” an absolute barnstormer of a track where the Bombs fire off all cylinders while winking to hardcore and metal. The chips are down and the deck is stacked here. The band’s all in. Are you?
